40 terrorists killed, 21 injured since launch of Khyber 3 operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - Since launch of Khyber 3 operation, which commenced last week, total of 40 terrorists have been killed and 21 injured, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Monday.

In treacherous terrain of Rajgal, 43 terrorist hideouts were destroyed through ground and aerial operations since start of operation.

Security forces have also occupied passes and are now consolidating their positions up in high mountains in Rajgal.

Earlier today, huge cache of arms and ammo including IEDs were recovered during search in Damo Drub .

Pakistan has been battling the Tehreek-e-Taliban, an umbrella organisation of militant groups, since its inception in 2007.

The army launched air and ground operations in the Rajgal valley, about 90 km (60 miles) west of the city of Peshawar, last week, the latest leg of an offensive against TTP and its allies that began in 2014.

Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan has squeezed some groups into small pockets of territory, while others have fled over the border into lawless areas of eastern Afghanistan.
