Operation Rajgal crucial to keep an eye over terrorists' movements, COAS says

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif paid visit to the frontlines in Khyber Agency on Friday and lauded the spirits of officers and soldiers involved in Operation Rajgal, reported Dunya News.

While emphasising upon the operation’s significance, General Raheel stated that the enemies were carrying out attacks while hiding in rugged areas, further adding that the terrorists shall be wiped out irrespective of their locations.

General Raheel was briefed upon the ongoing operation against the terrorists. The army chief expressed his satisfaction with the operation’s pace and stated that the nation and armed forces have paid heavy prices during the ongoing battle against the terrorists.

General Raheel stated that the armed forces were committed to halt the terrorists’ cross-border movement, adding that the all of the terrorists  sleeper cells shall be destroyed.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department, General Raheel stated that Operation Rajgal was crucial in a sense that it shall facilitate in keeping an eye on the movement of the terrorists and directed that surveillance be increased in order to track the terrorists’ movement.

Operation Rajgal was initiated a few days back on the orders of the army chief.
