Protest staged against power outage in Multan
The annoyed citizens blocked the roads
MULTAN (Dunya News) - A large number of agitated protestors gathered and blocked the road in Multan’s area to protest against the prolonged electricity loadshedding, reported on Friday.
According to details, Protestors chanted slogans against the Multan electric power company (MEPCO) administration.
The protestors said that unannounced power outages is not justified. The life is seen adversely affected with ten hours of power outages in urban areas of Multan and 16-hour long spans in rural areas of south Punjab.
Demonstration demanded to curtail the loadshedding duration.
The annoyed citizens also claimed that MEPCO authorities are not ready to change the damage transformer which is also a cause of power outage.
The protestors dispersed peacefully after some protest.
