Punjab: Students to learn chicken breeding along with regular curriculum

After every two months, they will be vaccinated and students' leftover lunch will be their feed

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab govt on Thursday came with a bizarre yet interesting project where government school students will be taught to breed chickens along with regular studies while Rs 320 million has been approved for the project as every school will be provided with four hens and one cockerel.

All girl schools from Punjab will be taught about chicken breeding and information about their feed. Officials already started working on Livestock Department’s summary.

The birds will be provided to 30 schools in every district. After every two months, they will be vaccinated and students’ leftover lunch will be their feed. Schools’ list had also been sought.
