Will carry out accountabiltiy against all once PTI comes to power, says Imran Khan

BAGH (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday while addressing a public gathering at Bagh, Azad Kashmir, stated that the country with a corrupt leadership can never prosper. He said that the people of Azad Kashmir need to vote for PTI in the upcoming elections on July 21 if they want to brighten up their future, reported Dunya News.

PTI Chairman stated that the public needs to give chance to new faces to serve them instead of tried and tested leaders. Khan said that the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) said that a believer cannot be stung from the same hole twice.

Imran Khan said that corruption in Azad Kashmir will only end once the process of accountability gets initiated. He added that corruption will not end by curtailing the patwaris but it shall come to an end once Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif is held accountable.

He said that corruption cases were also filed against Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar but PM Nawaz nullified the cases against him, adding that once PTI comes to power the leadership will do accountability against everyone. He said that he will initiate the process of accountability by starting it from himself further stating that no one shall be relieved of the process.

Imran Khan said that one thief does not carry out accountability against another thief. PTI Chairman said that when PTI would hold the reigns of the country, an unbiased cell shall be formed that shall carry out accountability against all. He further stated that the party will make schools and roads once it comes to power and that the process of progress shall initiate.

Khan stated that PTI was able to carry out above board local bodies  elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), adding that 30% of the funds were allocated to the local administration department. He said that the process of accountability cannot be carried out in the country because of the status quo. “I promise that I shall deliver justice to all,” said Khan.

While addressing a rally at the H. Khurshid Stadium in Muzaffarabad, Khan said that the rulers filled their pockets while they are in power. PTI Chairman said that 60% of Lahore’s population did not have access to clean drinking water adding that the government promised to decrease load shedding in the country whereas electricity prices were doubled.

Khan said that the prices of fuel had decreased whereas those of electricity had risen. He added that corruption was the biggest problem faced by Pakistan, further stating that the people of Kashmir were going to make decision regarding their fate on July 21.

Imran Khan said that the people of Pakistan were more democratic than the people of Turkey and enquired that why didn’t the people hit the streets when a coup took place in the country in 1999? Khan said that public celebrated sweets when Pervez Musharraf overthrew Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s government.

PTI Chairman said that PM Nawaz was making money and was preparing his children to rule in the future, adding that the country was not endangered of the army but was threatened by PM Nawaz’s monarchial attitude.

He added that instead of responding on the allegations leveled on him in the Panama Papers, the Prime Minister left for UK. He stated that he shall not step back from investigating the Panama Leaks issue.
