Lahore: Woman strangled by in-laws
Sidra's father convinced her to go back to her husband and got to hear about her death afterwards
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A 25-year-old married woman Sidra on Thursday was mysteriously killed at her in-laws residence while it was not clear if the woman committed suicide for being tired of violence or was killed by in-laws over domestic dispute, reported Dunya News.
Sidra, resident of Gujjarpura, was married to Nauman a few months back; issues used to erupt every other day over domestic dispute between Nauman and Sidra. This time, Sidra’s father convinced her to go back to her husband and got to hear about her death as soon as she reached her husband’s residence.
Police had been investigating the matter and stated that there were marks of rope and cloth around her neck while no signs of violence could be seen on her body. However, postmortem and forensic report will make things clearer. Police had filed a case and started legal proceedings over the request of family members of the deceased woman.
