Bilawal Zardari spoke to reporters outside Amjad Sabri's residence.

KARACHI (Web Desk) – During his visit to Amjad Sabri’s house in Karachi today (Tuesday), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari avoided questions from a reporter about the PPP-led Sindh government’s performance.

“I am not here to talk about politics. I am here to show solidarity,” Bilawal told reporters.

When a reporter asked: “What is Sindh government doing after Amjad Sabri’s killing and abduction of Owais Shah?”

Bilawal asked Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal to respond to the question.

“Jawab dou Sindh government Jawab dou (give answer Sindh government, give answer),” the PPP chairman said before leaving the scene.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Home Minister stated that perpetrators behind Amjad Sabri’s killing will be arrested soon. He also announced that an institution will be named after Sabri.

One of Pakistan‘s best known Sufi musicians, Amjad Sabri, was shot dead in the southern port city of Karachi, triggering an outpouring of grief over what police have described an "act of terror".

Sabri was shot several times while driving in his car in the city‘s Liaqatabad area, when a motorcycle pulled up alongside the vehicle and the attackers opened fire.

Few days back, Awais Ali Shah, the son of Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, was abducted outside a supermarket in the city.

Karachi, a teeming metropolis of more than 20 million people, has long been plagued by political, ethnic and religious violence, although crime has dropped sharply since the launch of a paramilitary operation in September 2013.
