Punjab IG should take back his decision: Former Punjab IG
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police on Monday said that appointment of police officers with out-of-turn promotions to Officer on Special Duty (OSD) was a matter of haste, reported Dunya News.
Talking to Dunya News, Javed said that the decision of IG was not a right move to be taken; the department should have waited for court’s decision. He further stated that the affected officer had not been promoted on the basis of nepotism as proper rules were established in this regard. Punjab IG should take back his decision, he added.
