Anti-govt protests: Bilawal calls high-level party meeting

Parliamentary, political committees and PPP senior leaders were directed to attend the meeting

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday announced to chair a high-level party meeting on June 1 regarding anti-government movement and funds allocation for Haqqani madrassa and collaboration with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after the very initiative taken by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, reported Dunya News.

The meeting will be held in Zardari House Islamabad where members of parliamentary, political committees and senior leaders of the party were directed to attend the meeting.

On this occasion, strategy to plan anti-government processions after Eid-ul-Fitr was also discussed in the meeting. After allocation of funds to Haqqania madrassa by PTI-led KP government, PPP had expressed concerns in this regard and reviewed its terms with PTI and the possible coalition against the government.

Option for calling for all four provinces’ party coordination committees’ session on June 30 was also under consideration.
