Police, Rangers wanted to record his family's verdict collectively: Sources

KARACHI (Dunya News) – In the wake of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharf’s visit to Sindh Rangers Headquarters Karachi, investigation regarding renowned qawwal Amjad Sabri’s murder case has been intensified on Monday, reported Dunya News.

After briefing Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar and General Raheel Sharif, Rangers had recorded Saleem Chanda’s statement who was earlier arrested by the police.

Rangers revisited the crime scene along with Chanda and had collected more evidence to probe the case. Rangers along with its investigative team also visited Amjad Sabri’s residence while the pertinent area was sealed before their arrival. 

Sources revealed that police and Rangers wanted to record his family s statement collectively but no major breakthrough was reported.
