Six injured as roof of house collapses in Lahore

The locals said that yesterday's rain has ramshackled houses due to which the incident took place.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least six people sustained severe wounds as a roof of a house collapsed in Lahore, reported on Saturday.

According to details, a roof of dilapidated house caved in near old Ravi bridge railway crossing when residents were sleeping. The mishap has badly injured as many as six people who were shifted to the Mayo Hospital for further investigation.

The victims have been identified as three-year-old Aleesha, eight-year-old Zeenat, 22-year-old Aasia, 49-year-old Zainab, 35-year-old Umar and 30-year-old Asif.

The locals said that yesterday’s rain has ramshackled the houses due to which the incident took place. They said that the houses are not worth living and cannot bear further rains.

The natives have also urged the government to take action into the matter.
