Son of Chief Justice of Sindh High Court feared abducted: police

Four masked armed men got down from a car and allegedly whisked Owais away, say eyewitnesses.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The investigation officers have fear abduction of Chief Justice Sindh High Court Sajjad Ali Shah’s son Owais Sajjad Shah as they are failed to find out any evidence regarding his disappearance, reported on Tuesday.

Family sources said that Owais Sajjad Shah went to Super Market in Clifton to buy something but he did not return. His mobile phone had been switched off since the afternoon.

Deputy Inspector General South confirmed that the law enforcement agencies are investigating the case while three teams of Special Security Unit would supervise the entire operation.

The officers have started snap checking in the metropolis and at all its entry and exit points while security has been tightened up at Super Highway and National Highway.

Mobile data of SHC CJ’s son has also been taken. Dunya News has also obtained CCTV footage in which Owais can be seen busy in purchasing items at Clifton Town Shopping Mall.

However, when he came out of the market, a car with fake number SP 0586 whisked him away.



Two eye witnesses have also recorded their statements in this regard according to which, four masked armed men got down from a white color car and allegedly took Owais with them.

The suspected car was then seen in the area of Tipu Sultan police station.

A search operation has also been launched by the policemen in different localities including Sadar, Cantt Station, Baloch Colony and Mahmudabad.

SSU and CPLC are also conducting raids in sensitive areas to recover the victim.

On the other hand, Governor, CM Sindh and other provincial leaders have directed to speed up the action whereas Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto has also taken notice of the incident.

Family sources further said that Owais returned from London a few months ago after getting Barrister-at-Law degree.
