Govt imposes temporary ban on new petrol, CNG pumps
Officials believe that people would face difficulties over NHAs act
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Highway Authority (NHA) Chairman has directed to temporarily postpone NOCs for every filling, gas and petrol station to be built near highways across Pakistan, according to a circular released on Monday, reported Dunya News.
The NOCs would remain intact till the issuance of the new policy. The circular also directed those NOC applications which were pending in the regional offices should also be returned for now.
On the other hand, Petroleum Ministry and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has expressed reservations over the very imposition on new filling stations. Officials believe that people would face difficulties over NHAs act.
