Multan: Policemen hang suspect upside down in canal for 'confession'
CPO Multan took notice of the incident and directed to launch action against the officers.
MULTAN (Dunya News) - Police personnel’s bizarre act of investigation came forward when they hanged a suspect upside down in the canal in Multan for confession, reported on Saturday.
According to details, Mahafiz force and Punjab police officers appointed in Qutabpur police station hanged the suspect upside down for not recording their demanded statement.
The officers also brutally assaulted the accused and forced him to confess to the charge.
On the other hand, City Police Officer (CPO) Multan took notice of the incident and directed to launch action against the officers. He has also formed an inquiry committee under Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) operation’s supervision.
