Never in the past lack of quorum was pointed out by members of parliament, says Abdul Sattar Bachani

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – 82 members were needed to meet the quorum in National Assembly, but only 50 members were present when the session started under supervision of speaker Ayaz Sadiq. Having 188 members in the parliament, the ruling party still failed to meet the quorum, reported Dunya News on Friday.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Lal Chand pointed out lack of quorum in National Assembly. Session was suspended for quite some time due to lack of quorum. Proceedings of National Assembly started shortly after the quorum of the house met its minimum requirement.

Abdul Sattar Bachani said that never in the past lack of quorum was pointed out by members of parliament, but due to government’s irresponsible behaviour, parliament had become a laughing stock.
