Court issues notice to Imran Khan in defamation case filed by Ishaq Dar's son

The petitioner has adopted the stance that Khan has accused him of owning illegal property in UAE.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A local court in Islamabad on Thursday issued notice to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan in a defamation case filed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s son.

The hearing of the defamation case worth Rs5 billion was conducted by Additional Session Judge Raja Khurram Ali Khan.

The petitioner has adopted the stance that Imran Khan has accused him of owning illegal property in United Arab Emirates (UAE) during a press conference.

The accusations have also been reported in the media, he added.

The petitioner has demanded that either Imran Khan should apologize over the false accusations or should be ready for legal proceedings.

The court while adjourning the hearing reissued notice to Imran Khan for June18.
