LONDON (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif was discharged from the Harley Street Clinic on Monday after he underwent an open-heart surgery in the same hospital a week ago, reported Dunya News.

Maryam Nawaz, daughter of PM Nawaz, tweeted a picture of the Prime Minister as he was leaving the hospital. The PM was walking without any support and can be seen waving his hand towards the crowd that was gathered outside the hospital to greet him.

Earlier in the day, Maryam Nawaz, expressed her hope that the PM shall be discharged in the afternoon (according to the UK standard time) from the Harley Street Clinic.

In her tweet, Maryam Nawaz said that the doctors were satisfied with the health and the medical reports of the Prime Minister and that the doctors would give permission to the PM to be shifted to his home.

Hussain Nawaz, son of PM Nawaz, said that the doctors have stopped giving most of the medicines to the PM that were been given to him after his operation. He stated that the PM has been advised to take rest for a period of one to two weeks.

PM Nawaz underwent a successful open-heart surgery at the Harley Street Clinic in London last week and was kept in the Intesive Care Unit (ICU) for 48 hours before being shifted to a private room in the hospital.
