Entire country saddened over incident in Peshawar: Hina Jillani

LAHORE (Dunya News) – All Pakistan Shemale Association leader Neeli Rana has stated that  Naya Pakistan  (New Pakistan) is being made in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) by murdering members of her community, further adding that it is not a crime to be a transgender, reported Dunya News on Saturday.

While addressing a press conference in Lahore along with representatives of a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Neeli Rana said that a human life in Peshawar was lost merely on the basis of gender difference.

She stated that the committee formed to probe into the murder of the very transgender in Peshawar needs to give strict punishment to the ones responsible for the tragic incident. Rana inquired that why the politicians in the country are silent over the murder of 45 transgender people in various areas.

Human rights activist Hina Jillani stated that the indifferent attitude expressed in Peshawar cannot be explained in words, further stating that the entire country is saddened over the incident.
