Funds for Balochistan do not have timely issuance, complains Zehri

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal and Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri exchanged hot words over Sui project during Annual meeting of Plan Coordination Committee (APCC), reported Friday.

Chief Minister Zehri walked out of the meeting after difference of opinion with the federal minister turned into an intense dissent.

However, Iqbal, without wasting any time, went straight to Balochistan House and addressed his reservations. Reportedly, Zehri was of the opinion that Balochistan is subjected to partiality when it comes to distribution of funds among provinces.

Zehri denies any clash with the federation while talking to the media

He said that funds for Balochistan do not have timely issuance.

The federal minister said that the Chief Minister was misinformed by his aides as the federation had issued funds for Sui project around two years back.

Balochistan government does not take PC-1 into consideration, he complained.

However, Zehri denied reports of boycott while talking to the media. Iqbal asserted that the federal government would resolve all issues of the provinces with respect to their needs.

He also talked about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) saying that it was vital for the country and progress of the region.
