LONDON (Dunya News) – With Panama Leaks fiasco in full swing in the country, further startling revelations were made Friday. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan confirmed that he had indeed owned an offshore company, stating that he formed an offshore company in 1983 on the advice of his accountant. He went on to state that he purchased and sold a flat in London through the same company, reported Dunya News.

While addressing the media in London, Khan said that he never remained a citizen of the United Kingdom and therefore had to make the offshore company in order to purchase property, adding that he had to pay taxes if he did not make the company. He stated that making a company in this manner is not an illegal process and said "what I did was not a crime". He said that he purchased the flat from the amount of money he earned through playing county cricket.

PTI chairman said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and his family are destroying the country. Referring to the Panama Leaks issue, Khan said that if the government does not agree upon the Terms of References (TORs) of the commission to probe into the matter, it will lead to the biggest movement in the country s history.
