Shehbaz Sharif's silence in the whole Panama Leaks issue is "meaningful" says Parvez Elahi

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders met in Lahore on Thursday and discussed joint strategy to be adopted against the government in regards to the Panama Leaks, reported Dunya News.

PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi stated that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also demands the formation of a judicial commission and a forensic commission to probe into the leaks. Qureshi said that if PPP has parted ways, then it is their decision to make however he is ready to have a meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

PML-Q leader Chaudhary Parvez Elahi said that Shehbaz Sharif has been selected as Punjab’s Chief Minister (CM) twice because of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif. He added that “it is strange to note that Shehbaz is unwilling to come out of the Orange Line Train’s box”, adding that the CM has yet not uttered a word in the defense of his elder brother, making his silence in the whole scenario meaningful.

Elahi stated that if Federal Minister of the Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan wants to initiate accountability against anyone, he can do so by starting it from him. Qureshi added that PTI does not want a “solo flight” in regards to the Panama Leaks issue and wants to take the opposition into consideration prior to making any move. He said that the platform of the Parliament will also be utilised for this purpose.
