8 students missing, 2 dead because of land sliding in Chitral: NDMA

Rain-related incidents result in 86 casualties country-wide

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – According to a statement issued by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Sunday, 8 students have gone missing as result of land sliding in Chitral whereas the dead bodies of 2 students have been recovered from the ice boulders, reported Dunya News.

NDMA stated that 86 people have died in the month of March as a result of torrential rains in various parts of the country whereas 101 have been reported injured and 240 houses have been badly affected.

It was also stated by NDMA that Provincial Disaster Management Authorities have been directed to estimate the loss in terms of financial aspects caused because of the rains.
