Police arrest Afghan gang involved in US diplomat murder
20 ounce of gold and currency of different countries taken into custody
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad Police operated in sector G-9 on Sunday and arrested an Afghan gang which was involved in the murder of a US diplomat and had committed other serious crimes, reported Dunya news.
Police have recovered Indian currency, Euros and gold from the criminals. According to SP Captain Illyas, the gang was arrested from G-9 on a report from a secret intelligence.
The gang has committed crimes in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Punjab and Azad Kashmir. Last year, an American diplomat was also murdered by the very gang in G-9.
20 ounce of gold, 13 lac Pakistani rupees, Indian, Russian, Korean and currency of other countries have also been taken into custody by the police. Police have also recovered weapons and 7 precious wrist watches from the criminals.
