Madina: PM, Army Chief pay respect at Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him)
PM, Army Chief also offered prayer in Masjid-e-Nabawi before departing for the country.
MADINA (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Shareef Friday arrived in Madina to pay their respects at Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him) and also offered prayer in Masjid-e-Nabawi, before departing for the country.
PM Nawaz and the Army Chief were also accompanied by Special Assistant to the PM on Foreign Affairs, Tariq Fatemi.
Prime Nawaz and the Army Chief earlier attended the closing parade of ‘North Thunder’ Saudi military exercises on Friday while Pakistani fighter jets and Special Services Group (SSG) troops also performed in the exercises.
Ending parade of Saudi Arabia’s Thunder of North military exercise was held in King Khalid City. Along with PM Nawaz, COAS and Saudi rulers, leaders of 21 other countries also attended the parade.
