Nisar incensed over misinformation about Taseer's release
News about Taseer's release was contrary to actual facts, says Nisar
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan Wednesday was incensed over the misinformation following Shahbaz Taseer s recovery from the terrorists. Taking notice, Nisar ordered a committee to be formed which will be tasked with investigating the false reports, reported Dunya News.
Nisar stated that the Inspector General (IG) Balochistan Ahsan Mehboob had mentioned that Taseer was released through an operation whereas the reality of the matter was quite contrary.
Members of the committee formed include Additional Secretary of the Interior Ministry, Director General National Crises Management Cell (DG NCMC) and others.
Interior Minister said that we need to promote the habit of speaking the truth in the nation. He stated that the IG Balochistan had informed him that Taseer was recovered by an operation of the security forces, however, the facts were actually very different.
The investigative committee will present its report on the issue within two days.
The misinformation was revealed when it was reported in Dunya News’ programme Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Saath that Shahbaz Taseer was actually released as a result of action taken by Afghan Taliban against rival terrorist group.
An Afghan Taliban leader helped Taseer in crossing the border and made him reach Kuchlak region near Quetta with safety.
