Mother strangles son to death on fake pir's advice
The mother killed her son a fake pir's advice.
FEROZWALA (Web Desk) - Police on Saturday registered a murder case against a woman who strangled her son to death on a fake pir’s advice in a bid to get him free of a genie, Dunya News reported.
The incident occurred in Wandala Dayal Shah area of Ferozwala where a woman identified as Shabana first strangled her 8-year-old son and then hanged him with a ceiling fan with a scarf.
Neighbours entered the house as they heard boy’s scream and saw Shabana fleeing from the scene. She was caught and handed over to police.
Locals told that the mother took this extreme step on a fake pir’s advice in a bid to drive the genie out of his body.
Police have taken victim Umair’s body into custody and registered a case against the mother.
Talking to media, Shabana’s husband said that his wife and son were possessed.
Police have launched investigation into the incident.
