PM Nawaz condemned Jakarta blast and asked Muslim community to be united.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News/Web Desk) - Prime Minister of Pakistan (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has strongly condemned the blast near United Nations office in Jakarta, Indonesia.

According to details, PM Nawaz expressed immense grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in Jakarta blast.

In his condolence message, he said that the people and Government of Pakistan share the pain of Indonesian brethren at this critical moment.

Prime Minister said terrorism is common threat to Muslim countries and to fight it is our collective responsibility. He said Pakistan stand firm against every act of terror in the entire world.

Earlier today, gunfire and explosions in the Indonesian capital Jakarta killed at least six people with police flooding the streets amid fears gun-toting militants were still on the run.

Witnesses said at least one gunman had attacked a cafe in the city centre -- near a cluster of embassies -- shooting at bystanders, as a series of explosions rocked the area.

Badly mangled bodies were seen lying on the streets as security forces moved in, with regular reports of gunfire and warnings of snipers in the area.
