Water pipeline's burst inundates Karachi's administration society

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A water pipeline burst on Monday caused flooding in Karachi’s administration society.

According to details, the incident took place when the Karachi water board ensured supply to the administration society due to which water provision was halted to the other areas. The pipeline blew up while repairing at 4 am.

The main street of the area was drowned in water, badly irking the locals.

According to residents, the authorities have not taken any action despite approaching them several times.



Earlier, A water pipeline burst in Karachi’s area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal and another near Federal Urdu University area caused flooding on the roads and created a severe traffic jam.

Frustrated citizens were stuck in the traffic for several hours due to the rising water level on the roads. The bursts in pipelines also led to a severe water shortage crisis in the city.

The first burst in the 84 inch wide pipeline occurred at Gulshan-e-Iqbal but was repaired after several hours, but troubles were not over for the citizens as the other one burst late into the night.

The roads of the area were drowned in many feet of water as numerous cars and motorcycles got stranded in the pools of water.

Provincial Minister for Local Government Jam Khan Shoro reached the University road upon receiving information of the problem and examined the burst pipeline.
