Lahore rape case: Court summons victim on December 31 to record statement

Due to the absence of the defence lawyer the statement of the victim was not recorded.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A local court on Wednesday has summoned the Lahore rape victim on December 31 to record her statement in the case.

The girl and the suspect Adnan Sanaullah were presented before the judicial magisterate.

Due to the absence of the defence lawyer the statement of the victim was not recorded due to which the court ordered to present her again the next day.

On the other hand, all the eight suspects will also be presented before the court as their physical remand ends tomorrow.

The 15-year-old girl was kidnapped and then allegedly intoxicated and raped by as many as six to seven persons in a guest house on Mall Road on December 25.

The victim was shifted to a hospital where the medics confirmed sexual assault.

The eight suspects including the key person Adnan Sanaullah nominated in the FIR of the case were arrested on immediate basis by the police as the government took notice of the incident and directed police to nab the culprits as soon as possible.

They were later sent on a three-day physical remand by the court for interrogation.
