Opposition submits resolution in Sindh Assembly against speaker, govt behaviour
The opposition members gathered in front of the speakers dice while staging their protest.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh Assembly session on Monday was adjourned till Tuesday amid protest and tumult by the opposition.
The session headed by speaker Agha Siraj Durrani started after a delay of 40 minutes however; only 11 members were present in the assembly at that time. The number increased afterwards as the proceeding went on.
After the question session, the call attention notice was not presented due to absence of the assembly members.
The opposition repeatedly pointed out the lack of quorum but the speaker silenced Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) MPA Nusrat Sahar Abbasi.
The opposition parties submitted a resolution against the speaker and government behaviour.
Audit reports of 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 related to various departments were presented in the session. Besides this the government also introduced a minimum wage bill.
Meanwhile, the opposition kept on shouting slogans and insisted to count the members as the opposition were in greater number than the government members.

On the other hand, extension in presenting the Mass Transit Authority Bill 2014 and Sindh Medical and Dental Council Bill 2014 was approved in the session.
