PM meets WAPDA union delegation, union calls strike off after meeting
PM assured WAPDA delegation that all of their rightful demands will be fulfilled
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif directed the authorities on Thursday to examine the complaints of WAPDA union and submit a report as soon as possible on the issue. He assured the delegation of WAPDA Union, which called on him in Islamabad, that all of their rightful demands will be fulfilled, reported Dunya News.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, Chairman Privatization Commission Muhammad Zubair and Union representatives Khurshid Ahmed, Abdul Latif Nizamani and Muhammad Ramzan Achakzai. After the meeting, WAPDA Union called off its strike after meeting with PM.

A government worker in Rawalpindi today (Tuesday) received an extortion slip with an SMG bullet attached to it, Dunya News reported.
According to police, Naveed Iqbal, a WAPDA worker who lives in Peshawar Road Lane No. 3, received a slip from, demanding five million rupees extortion.
A case has been registered against unknown suspects at Race Course Police Station.
