Khanewal: 240kg meat supplied at hotels turns out to be pork
Wildlife department raids Pirowal Jungle, discovers 240kg pork allegedly supplied to hotels
KHANEWAL: (Dunya News) – Wildlife department on Tuesday raided Pirowal Jungle to discover 240 kilograms of pork that was allegedly going to be supplied to hotels in Khanewal. 2 residents of Yazman Mandi named Sonu and Kiola were arrested while the meat was taken into custody, reported Dunya News.
Both the arrested suspects have been locked up in Saddar Police Station, Khanewal. Knives, axes and hunting weapons were found with the suspects.
Wildlife department took the meat into custody of at least 3 pigs. Both the suspects are non-Muslims and they are being investigated. The pigs were being caught in the jungle and they were being packed into packets after being skinned.
According to sources, the suspects sell this meat to hotels in Khanewal but the facts will only be revealed once the inquiry is complete.
