Security agencies still clueless over motive behind Multan blast
The blast occurred when a motorcycle hit an auto rickshaw on the city's Vehari Road.
MULTAN (Web Desk) – A day after a powerful explosion took place outside a bus terminal in Multan, the security agencies are still clueless over nature of the blast and exact motive behind the incident.
The investigation procedure took a new turn after the bomb disposal squad reported that it was a remote-controlled blast.
On the other hand, CIA police claimed that a remote-control was used to detonate explosives placed in a cart.
Earlier, the security agencies said that the explosion near Vehari Chowk in Multan appears to be a suicide attack. The blast occurred when a motorcycle hit an auto rickshaw on the city s Vehari Road.
At least 11 people died and more than 50 sustained injuries in the incident.
The injured are being treated at Nishtar Hospital. The doctor said that 15 people were discharged after their wounds were dressed.
