Justice Mufti had served as secretary of Lal Masjid's commission, says Musharraf's counsel

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Acting Additional Sessions Judge Kamran Basharat Mufti on Monday has forwarded Ghazi Abdul Rasheed murder case to another court on former president Pervez Musharraf’s reservations.

The Islamabad Sessions judge has refused to hold further hearing of the case.

As the hearing initiated, Musharraf’s counsel Malik Tahir Advocate said that Mufti had served as secretary of Lal Masjid’s commission. He expressed his client’s reservations over the court saying that the judge might have pre-conceived notions in the matter.

However, the case was forwarded to Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani. The hearing of Ghazi murder case will be held on September 15.
