President Mamnoon Hussain pays rich tribute to 1965 heroes

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan has always given a befitting response in case of any threat to its sovereignty and peace.
He was addressing the fly-past ceremony of Pakistan Air Force held in connection with Defence Day at Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Sunday.
He made it clear that Pakistan is a peace loving country and desires cordial relations with all the countries.
Mamnoon Hussain said our history is a clear testimony of the bravery and gallantry of the armed forces who are again displaying the same professionalism in Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists.
Paying glowing tributes to the martyrs and ghazis of 1965 war, the President pointed out it was the true spirit of patriotism of our armed forces and the entire nation that defeated three times militarily bigger enemy in the war.
He expressed the confidence that Pakistan Air Force will continue to fulfill its responsibilities while pursuing the footprints of the martyrs.
Lauding the splendid show of fly past by fighter jets of Pakistan Air force, Mamnoon Hussain said such demonstrations infuse a new spirit and determination in the nation.
In his remarks on the occasion, Air Chief Sohail Aman warned the enemy against any aggression saying Pakistani nation and armed forced will collectively give an apt response.
He said the backbone of terrorists has been broken as a result of effective coordination amongst the armed forces and these elements will soon be wiped out.
