Nepra allows domestic users to sell solar power to distribution companies

ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has issued a notification, permitting the domestic users to sell solar power to distribution companies, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
The authorities have imposed Net Metering System in the country for the first time.
According to notification, the users have been allowed to sell solar power to distribution companies in morning as per European style. Domestic users would utilize electricity supplied by Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) during night hours.
Moreover, a relief would be added in the bill in case of using more Wapda electricity.
