Karachi: Lawyers strike against killing of Bar Association's ex-joint secretary
Developments in hundreds of cases have been postponed due to the act.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Lawyers on Monday are striking against brutal killing of member of Pakistan Bar Council and joint secretary of Karachi Bar Ameer Haider Shah while City Court’s Station House Officer (SHO) has locked the gates creating problems for the people, Dunya News reported.
The lawyers in City Court, Malir Court and subordinate courts have boycotted legal proceedings today. The lawyers said that the SHO has locked the gates and the people cannot approach the court.
Developments in hundreds of cases have been postponed due to the act however, judges are hearing important cases in their chamber.
Former joint secretary Karachi Bar Association Ameer Haider Shah was gunned down on Friday night near Hassan Square.
