PM urged CJ to review his decision

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Jawad S Khawaja on Wednesday stated he was firm not to use a bullet-proof vehicle despite being urged by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on security grounds, Dunya News reported.

According to details, CJP made history by taking oath in national language Urdu and returning VIP protocol including bullet-proof vehicle.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wrote a letter to him urging him to review his decision given his status and the security situation.

PM Nawaz urged him to at least have a bullet-proof vehicle if not the full protocol. The sources said CJP still rejected the offer and refused to accept it and will only use the security and car he has as a judge.
