Hearing of MQM's Amir Khan case adjourned till August 25

KARACHI (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi has adjourned the hearing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) leader Amir Khan’s case till August 25, Dunya News reported on Saturday.

The suspect presented himself before the court and requested the judge to grant him exemption from appearing before the court as he wants to go on Hajj.

The court directed him to submit a written application and adjourned the hearing till August 25.

Amir Khan was detained from Nine Zero on March 11 on the charges of extortion, target killing and providing shelter to terrorists and criminals.

He is currently on bail after being in Rangers custody for three months.

While talking to media after the hearing, MQM leader said that operation should be conducted against those who are indulged in criminal activities whereas a sense of security is being spread among the Muhajir community as a result of such raids.
