Daska tragedy: Prosecution declares SHO guilty, submits challan in ATC
The SHO was accused of killing as many as two lawyers during a clash on May 25.
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – Prosecution on Saturday has submitted a case challan in Gujranwala court declaring former Senior House Officer (SHO) Shahzad Warraich guilty in the incident, Dunya News reported.

According to the details, a three-member group headed by prosecutor General Punjab Ahtesham Kadar scrutinized the challan and submitted it in anti-terrorism court (ATC) stating that the SHO opened fire at the lawyers over minor verbal arguments.
Subsequently, the court has decided to summon eye witnesses in next hearing.
Earlier, special court of Gujranwala division’s anti-terrorism court (ATC) sent Inspector Shehzad Warraich on 12-day physical remand on the accusation for killing two lawyers in Daska.
According to details, Joint Investigation Team’s (JIT’s) inspector Muhammad Qasim presented the accused in court amid heavy contingent of police and requested for 15-day physical remand of the suspect.
The court however; adjourned the hearing till June 8 and remanded the accused in police custody for 12 days.
The suspect was presented before the court early morning to refrain from any sort of reaction from the lawyers whereas when the lawyer association came to know about court’s decision they strongly criticized it and said that the verdict can’t be announced without hearing their stance.
