Lawyers killings: Police nominate former SHO in attempted murder case
The JIT did not make him a part of ongoing investigation, says Shahzad Warraich
DASKA (Dunya News) – Punjab Police on Friday has nominated Daska City Police Station former Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Shahzad Warraich in an attempted murder case registered on May 25 after police firing claimed lives of two lawyers.
Joint Investigation Team (JIT) transferred Warraich to a special court from Central Jail in a bullet proof vehicle amidst tight security. The criminal, in his defense said that the attempted murder case is baseless. He neither knows a single lawyer related to the case nor has a personal dispute with anyone, he added.
The former SHO also said that the JIT did not make him a part of ongoing investigation and his side was not heard.
Judge Chaudhry Imtiaz ordered the JIT head Qasim to conduct investigation in the light of the law.
