Enemies of state can't stand its progress: PM Nawaz

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday has said that the enemies of the state can not stand its progress.

He expressed these views while chairing the All Parties Conference (APC) in Quetta to review the law and order situation in Balochistan after the tragic Mastung incident that killed at least 22 people in Khadkocha area.

The PM said that the Operation Zarb-e-Azb is continuing successfully. The process of repatriation of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) is ongoing after the troops cleared the area, he added. PM Nawaz said that the government has vowed to eliminate terrorism. 

Nawaz reached the provincial capital on a one-day visit. Balochsitan Chief Minister (CM) Dr Abdul Malik Baloch welcomed Nawaz on the airport.

The military and political leaderships of the country will discuss the measures needed to avoid unfortunate incidents in the future. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General (DG) Lt General Rizwan Akhtar are participating in the meeting along with other delegates.

The CM has invited all the political parties of the province to participate in the meeting. Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, State Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Mir Jam Kamal and Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch have accompanied the PM on his Quetta visit.

The APC is being held at the Governor House.
