Police opened fire on the lawyers as they demonstrated a protest against SHO

DASKA (Dunya News) – The clash between lawyers and police on Monday in Daska became really serious as police killed President of Daska Bar Rana Ghulam Abbas and two other lawyers by opening fire on the protesting lawyers.

The angry protestors set Assistant Commissioner Daska’s home on fire. The angry mob also set Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) and Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) offices on fire. According to District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot, the Station House Officer (SHO) has been arrested.

The police opened fire on the lawyers as they demonstrated a protest against the City Station House Officer (SHO). The CM has expressed grief over the killing of the bar president. He ordered the authorities concerned to provide the best treatment to the injured protesters. CM Shahbaz has summoned a report from the regional police officer (RPO) Gujranwala.

The Punjab Bar Council has called a strike on May 26 boycotting judicial proceedings in courts province-wide condemning Abbas s killing. The council has said that no lawyer would appear in the court tomorrow.
