Altaf Hussain demands Sindh CM's resignation

Members of every religion and sect be given right to live lives according to beliefs, he demanded
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday demanded Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah’s resignation after a terrorist attack on a bus carrying members of Ismaili community killed forty four people in Karachi.
In a statement issued by MQM chief, it was stated that today’s terrorist attack is enough to open eyes of the government and law enforcement institutions.
He said the governor rule is not solution of the problem, adding that the solution is to deploy local police personnel in Karachi.
He asked why police and law enforcement institutions weren’t patrolling at the attack site and why police’s checkpost was vacated at the site.
Strongly condemning the attack, MQM chief said that members of every religion and sect should be given right to lead lives according to their beliefs.
CM Sindh asks why he should resign when terrorist acts happen everywhere
Avoiding the question of resignation over deadly terrorist attack in Karachi today (Wednesday), Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah asked why should he resign when the acts of terrorism take place everywhere.
CM Sindh visited the attack site amid strictest security circle. Talking to the media, he said the onslaught of innocent citizens is highly regrettable. He said terrorists won’t be spared and that the report of the incident will be presented in a week.
Shah said Rangers and police’s performance is not less than anyone, adding that the provincial government won’t rest until terrorists are brought to justice.
He expressed the determination not to let people disappointed and not to spare terrorists.
