Lawyers observe black day against May 12 tragedy
The protesters demanded soon detention of those involved in the incident.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Lawyers, on the call of Pakistan Bar Council are observing black day to mourn May 12 tragedy, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
While remembering the sad incident of Karachi that took place on May 12, 2007 when the lawyers were set ablaze on the arrival of former Chief Justice (CJ) Iftekhar Chaudhry, lawyers lashed out at the local government for its negligence in nabbing the culprits.
On this occasion, black flags were hoisted on bar rooms whereas lawyers have also recorded their protest while tying black ribbons on arms.
Moreover, the protesters demanded soon detention of those involved in the incident.
