Kurram Agency: Major terrorist attack on school ground foiled by Levis personnel
In the process, two civilians were killed while nine are wounded
KURRAM AGENCY (Dunya News) – A major terrorist attempt was thwarted by the Levis personnel and general public on Wednesday when they intercepted and confronted two suicide bombers aiming for football match going on at a football ground of Ali Zai High school.
In the process, two civilians were killed while nine are wounded.
In a statement issued by Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), it was stated that the terrorism attempt of at least two suicide bombers was foiled.
The statement said that the first suicide bomber exploded himself when levis forces stopped him from entering the football ground whereas the second bomber was killed by levis personnel’s fire upon trying to escape. The fire resulted in detonation of his suicide west.
DG ISPR said that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) praised courageous acts of people and Levis personnel.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced Rs 10 lakh each reward for the brave personnel.
