PM Nawaz lauds Modi's idea to conduct joint exercises on disaster relief, rescue
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned Indian counterpart on Thursday.
NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday held a telephonic conversation with Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and expressed deep condolences on the loss of lives in various parts of India due to recent earthquake.
This was confirmed by Modi in a message posted on Twitter:

Nawaz Sharif also appreciated India’s efforts in rescue operations in quake-hit Nepal.

A total of 5,489 people are now known to have died in the 7.8-magnitude quake, according to an update from the National Emergency Operation Centre, while more than 100 others were killed in neighbouring India and China.
Modi suggested PM Nawaz that SAARC nations should conduct joint excersises on disaster relief and rescue on regular basis.

Morever, both leaders discussed the unseasonal rains and its adverse impact on the crops.
