12-day anti-measles campaign in Balochistan enters sixth day

The death report of five children due to measles vaccines will come till evening.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – 12-day anti-measles campaign is underway in Balochistan province on its sixth day, Dunya News reported.

Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan has sanctioned Rs137 million for the campaign whereas according to Director General (DG) Health Farooq Azam 33 lac children are to be injected the measles vaccine out of which at least 12 lac children have been vaccinated till date.

On the other hand, the death report of five children due to measles vaccines will come till evening.

The DG Health has confirmed that two children are under treatment in CMH and their condition is out of danger whereas a child admitted a day before in the hospital has recovered and has been discharged.
