Improvement in mutual efforts to eradicate terrorism, extremism agreed upon between the two

KABUL: (Dunya News) – Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar on Sunday met Afghan president Ashraf Ghani during his visit to Kabul, Dunya News reported. Improvement in mutual efforts to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the region were agreed upon by both.

According to Afghan diplomatic sources, DG ISI arrived in Kabul on Sunday for a one-day visit and met President Ashraf Ghani there. Sources told that the security situation at Pakistan-Afghanistan border, terrorists’ movement and regional security were discussed during the meeting.

Afghan president and DG ISI agreed on improving cooperation against extremism and terrorism. Regional security and other topics were also brought under discussion on this occasion.
