CM Malik awaits decision about Reko Diq case, underway in International Court of Arbitration.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said that the Reko Diq scheme is a major business project. I am not willing to sell a single brick, let alone Reko Diqm said CM.

CM Balochistan talked to media regarding Reko Diq in Balochistan and informed that the case about Reko Diq between the government and the Tethyan Copper Company Pakistan (pvt) Ltd (TCC) is underway in International Court of Arbitration. He said that the Federal government and the provincial government of Balochistan submitted a report comprising three- thousand pages regarding Reko Diq.

Both parties have submitted their statements. TCC has violated the mineral rules of both Pakistan and Balochistan.
CM also remarked that Reko Diq has one of the largest reserves of natural resources in the world. The project was declined by the government therefore we will not hand it over to TCC. After we receive a decision from the international court, we shall auction it on international level.

He also stated that he is being targeted with allegations regarding Reko Diq and he has won the confidence of the assembly members.

The bidding process would be transparent. He also said that Reko Diq is a major business project and belongs to the people of Balochistan. He also informed the media that a local TV channel was involved in propaganda against him and others including Shahid Masood, Nawaz Sharif, Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Nawab Sanaullah. They have been sent a legal notice and action will be taken against them.

Reko Diq, is known for its Gold and Copper Reserves and is believed to be the world 5th largest gold mine.
